we have two (separate) big announcements today that we’re unbelievably excited about.

difficult to pick which one to tell first, so why don’t we display them at the exact same time and let you choose? after all, if you’re here reading this – the distance between these two on the sonic spectrum is where you find comfort, just like me. let’s choose both together!

new kassie krut song + video – “reckless”

“Reckless” is the brazen and instant theme song for Kassie Krut

been sitting on this one awhile! the new york city-based trio of sweethearts has released their first new music since 2022’s “copycat” + “killing it” <3 “reckless” is out now via fire talk, with an incredible music video directed by guy kozak.

the video, like the song, deftly illuminates the band’s makeup: equal parts sincerity and absurdity, playing in an ocean of sounds made from scratch, scrapped together like a kindly tinkerer putting a heartbeat in an automaton.

kassie is playing in new york this friday, october 4th, with saf3 mind at tv eye – you can get tickets here, or see them open for spirit of the beehive this fall.

this new track marks an exciting new era – one we can’t wait to celebrate together under the haze.

new claire rousay film re-score – ‘the bloody lady’ (out nov. 8)

Through emotive ambient textures, granular synths, and field recordings, rousay reimagines the Slovak animated fairy tale with a brand-new score

sometime last year, claire did a live score at film fest gent of viktor kubal’s ‘the bloody lady,’ a surreal animated re-telling of the grim tale of elizabeth bathory – a noblewoman accused of murdering hundreds of young women, some say in the hopes of seeking youth eternal.

it’s an incredible film and, luckily, claire provided an equally incredible live score – it went over well enough to provoke the desire for a formal issuing of it on vinyl from the wonderful folks at viernulvier and the kubal estate. you can pre-order it now from them, or listen to the single ‘iii’ ahead of the score’s official release.

claire is also going on a tour through japan, europe, and the uk this november – you can find all the tickets on our event page, and dates below.
